Worshiping with Confidence
Discipleship S.T.E.P.S.: Worship God
Scripture: Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. – Hebrews 10:22
Guilt is a weight that prevents us from fully entering into worship, but the book of Hebrews tells us that our hearts have been ‘sprinkled’—cleansed by the blood of Christ. If you feel held back by your failures, you are living as if the Cross was insufficient. Worship with confidence is the privilege of those who have been washed clean. When you approach the throne of grace today, come with the ‘full assurance of faith,’ knowing that your sins have been dealt with once and for all.
Do not let an ‘evil conscience’ keep you in the back rows of your heart today. Draw near with a true heart. If you have been hiding from God turn and run toward Him. He is not waiting to condemn you; He is waiting to receive you. Let your worship today be an act of confidence in His finished work. You are clean you are forgiven and you are invited to stand in His presence—so lift your voice with the assurance of one who has been made whole.
Prompt: Does guilt hold you back in worship, or do you draw near with the full assurance of Christ’s cleansing?
Action Step: We worship confidently not because of our perfection, but because of the perfect sacrifice of Jesus.
