Worshiping the Nations
Discipleship S.T.E.P.S.: Worship God
Scripture: All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name. – Psalm 86:9
Worship is not a local event; it is a global reality. Psalm 86:9 gives us a vision of the future where all nations gather to glorify the name of the Lord. When we worship, we are participating in a song that started in eternity and will end when every tribe, tongue, and nation gathers around the throne. It is easy to get caught up in the bubble of our local congregation, but worship should always break our hearts for the world and lift our eyes to the global reach of His name.
As you enter into worship today let your praise extend beyond the four walls of your church. Pray for the nations of the earth. Remember the missionaries who are bringing this worship to remote corners of the globe. Recognize that the God you are singing to is the God of all nations and the grace you are receiving is intended for every people group. Let your worship today be an act of solidarity with the global Church and a celebration of the day when every nation will finally come and glorify His name.
Prompt: When you worship today, how does it feel to know you are joining a global chorus of believers from every nation?
Action Step: Our Sunday worship is a beautiful rehearsal for the eternal reality of every tribe and nation praising God together.
