Vision
Discipleship S.T.E.P.S.: SHAPE
Scripture: Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. – Proverbs 29:18
Vision is the ability to see beyond our immediate circumstances and align our lives with the purposes of God. Without a clear spiritual direction, we tend to drift, living reactive lives that are easily tossed about by the changing tides of culture and busyness. Proverbs 29:18 warns us that a lack of vision leads to chaos. When we invite God to give us a vision for our lives—a clear sense of how He wants to shape our character, our service, and our witness—we gain the focus necessary to live with intentionality and joy.
As you step into this new season ask yourself: ‘What is the primary work God wants to do in me and through me?’ Don’t just settle for a generic resolution; seek a vision rooted in His Word. Whether it is a deeper intimacy with the Lord a commitment to a specific ministry or a focus on intentional discipleship let your vision be a beacon that guides your daily steps. When you know where you are going with God, every day becomes an opportunity to move toward that holy goal.
