Three-Quarter Reflection
Discipleship S.T.E.P.S.: Rest & Reflect
Scripture: I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands. – Psalm 143:5
As we reach this three-quarter mark of the year, take time to ‘muse on the work of His hands.’ Reflecting is not just looking backward; it is a spiritual discipline that helps us see the patterns of God’s faithfulness that we often miss in the busyness of the moment. Where has He provided? Where has He pruned? Where has He kept you when you felt you would fall? The past nine months are a testament to His grace, and acknowledging that history is how we build the courage for the months ahead.
Find a quiet space today to look over your journey. Write down the major ways you have seen God move in your life since the beginning of the year. Don’t just list the ‘good’ things; include the hard lessons and the moments of struggle where His presence was the only thing that kept you going. When you meditate on His works your faith is refreshed and your heart is prepared to finish the year with confidence.
Prompt: As you reflect on the past nine months, where have you seen God’s faithfulness in your spiritual growth?
Action Step: Use this day of rest to evaluate your progress across the S.T.E.P.S. journey.
