The Power of Testimony
Discipleship S.T.E.P.S.: Worship God
Scripture: And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. – Revelation 12:11 (KJV)
The word of our testimony is a spiritual weapon. When we share what God has done, we are testifying that the power of the blood of the Lamb is alive and active in the present day. Hearing how God has moved in the lives of others serves as a powerful encouragement to our own faith, reminding us that He is a faithful, working God who hears the prayers of His people and intervenes with grace and power.
As you join in worship today be attentive to the stories of your fellow believers. Let their testimonies stir your heart to greater faith and deeper worship. When the church shares its collective story it creates an environment where hope thrives and the enemy’s influence is pushed back. Your own testimony no matter how small it may seem is a vital part of the church’s victory; let your praise today reflect your gratitude for all that God has done.
Prompt: How does hearing the testimonies of other believers encourage your own faith and worship?
Action Step: Sunday worship is a time to corporately celebrate the overcoming power of Jesus in our lives. Bring your praise to the gathering today.
