The Justice of God
Discipleship S.T.E.P.S.: Theology
Scripture: He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he. – Deuteronomy 32:4 (KJV)
In a world that often demands justice for others while seeking mercy for ourselves, the absolute justice of God serves as a stabilizing Rock. God’s justice is not a reflection of human anger or arbitrary rule; it is the manifestation of His perfect character. He is ‘without iniquity,’ meaning there is no corruption, partiality, or error in how He governs. Understanding this holiness provides the comfort that one day, all wrongs will be made right and every hidden thing will be brought to light.
Reverence for God’s justice prevents us from taking sin lightly. It reminds us that His righteousness is the foundation of the world. Because God is just, He will punish evil, and because He is just, He is also faithful to His promises. When you feel overwhelmed by the injustice in the world, look to the Rock. His ways are perfect, and in His perfect timing, His justice will prevail in ways that align with His glorious truth.
