Scripture: Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. – Psalm 145:3 (KJV)
The greatness of God is ‘unsearchable,’ meaning that no matter how long we study Him, we will never reach the bottom of His character. In seasons of uncertainty, we often need the comfort of His immutability; in seasons of guilt, His mercy; in seasons of weakness, His omnipotence. Knowing that God possesses every perfection in infinite measure gives us a solid foundation, no matter what our external circumstances might be.
Take time today to meditate on one attribute of God—His holiness, His sovereignty, His faithfulness, or His love. How does this specific truth about Him change how you view your current situation? When we center our thoughts on who He is rather than what we are experiencing, our problems are placed into their proper, smaller perspective. He is great, He is good, and He is sufficient for you today.
