Spiritual Growth

Discipleship S.T.E.P.S.: Equip

Scripture: But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. – 2 Peter 3:18 (KJV)

Just as a physical body needs regular nourishment and exercise to grow, our spiritual lives require intentional care. We do not simply drift into spiritual maturity. Growing in grace and knowledge means actively spending time in God’s Word, communicating with Him through prayer, and walking in daily obedience.

If we rely only on past experiences or simply go through the motions of faith without engaging our hearts, we risk stagnation. God’s desire is for us to continually deepen our relationship with Him, being transformed more into the image of Christ every single day. Let us be deliberate in our pursuit of Him, trusting that He will provide the grace we need to flourish and mature.

Prompt: Are you actively pursuing spiritual growth, or have you grown stagnant in your faith?

Action Step: To be Equipped means recognizing that spiritual maturity requires intentionality, not just the passing of time.

Next Step: Assess your current spiritual health and commit to one area of growth this week.
