Scripture: As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away. – Acts 13:2-3
Worship is not merely an end in itself; it is the vital environment where we receive our marching orders from the Holy Spirit. In Acts 13, the church gathered to minister and pray, and it was in that posture of submission that God revealed His calling for their next chapter. When we worship, we should not just be comforted; we should be commissioned. As you leave the gathering today carry the weight of your commission with you. You are a ‘sent one ‘ tasked with bringing the light of the Gospel into a dark and hurting world. Do not let the impact of worship stop at the doors of the building; let it be the catalyst for how you live your Monday through Saturday. Ask the Lord to show you the work He has specifically separated you for this week. Go forth with the assurance that you are empowered equipped and sent by the very One who is worthy of all our praise.
