The doctrine of Christ’s return is the ultimate perspective-shifter. If we truly believe that the King is coming back to establish His eternal Kingdom, our current anxieties, material pursuits, and temporary struggles begin to fade into their proper proportions. Living with the anticipation of His return is not a call to escape from the world, but a mandate to live with greater urgency, purity, and purpose in the time we are given.

When we live in light of eternity we invest our time and resources in things that truly matter—people the Word and the advancement of the Gospel. Let the promise of His descent be the motivation that fuels your faithfulness keeping your heart focused on the finish line that is surely approaching.
