Relational Boundaries

Discipleship S.T.E.P.S.: SHAPE

Scripture: Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. – Proverbs 4:23 (KJV)

Guarding your heart is not an act of selfishness, but a necessary stewardship of the soul. Because your heart is the source of your thoughts, actions, and spiritual direction, you must be discerning about the influences you allow into your inner circle. Relational boundaries are the fences that protect your walk with God, ensuring that you are not being led astray by voices or behaviors that conflict with your Kingdom purpose.

Evaluate your relationships through the lens of your spiritual health: are your associations drawing you toward Christ or pulling you away? Establishing healthy boundaries sometimes requires difficult conversations or distance but it is essential for maintaining the integrity of your devotion. Seek the Lord’s wisdom in navigating these connections asking Him to help you love others sacrificially while remaining firm in the calling He has placed upon your life.
