Quarterly Growth Reflection
Discipleship S.T.E.P.S.: Worship God
Scripture: Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. – Psalm 139:23-24 (KJV)
Reflection is the discipline of looking back so we can walk forward with greater intentionality. As we reach the end of this quarter, we invite God to search us, not to condemn our failures, but to reveal the areas where He has been working and the areas that still need His transforming touch. Identifying the places of growth reminds us of His faithfulness, while identifying the areas of need reminds us of our continued dependence on His grace.
Take this time today to look back over the last three months. Where has your prayer life deepened? Where have your reactions changed? Where are you still struggling with old habits? Offer these things to the Lord in worship thanking Him for the growth He has produced and handing over the burdens that are too heavy to carry alone. He is leading you in the way everlasting; trust Him with every step.
Prompt: Looking back over the past three months, where have you seen the most spiritual growth, and where do you need God's help?
Action Step: Corporate worship is a fitting time to seek God's evaluation of our spiritual progress and realign our hearts.
