Public Testimony

Scripture: Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; – Psalm 107:2

Redemption is meant to be proclaimed, not hidden. Psalm 107 gives us a clear command: ‘Let the redeemed of the Lord say so.’ Your testimony is the evidence of God’s power; it is the concrete proof that He is still in the business of rescuing people from the ‘hand of the enemy.’ When we hold back our stories, we withhold the hope that someone else desperately needs to hear. Public testimony is a powerful way to turn the focus of a conversation from our own efforts to God’s gracious intervention.

Is there a story of God’s provision healing or guidance that you are keeping to yourself? Find an opportunity to ‘say so’ this weekend. It doesn’t have to be a formal speech; it can be a simple conversation with a friend or a note of encouragement to a group. When you declare what He has done you invite others to believe that He can do the same for them.

Prompt: When was the last time you publicly shared what God has done in your life?

Action Step: Sharing our public testimony encourages believers and acts as a witness to unbelievers.

Next Step: Share a brief story of God’s faithfulness with a friend or on social media today.
