Prayer in Spiritual Warfare

Discipleship S.T.E.P.S.: Equip

Scripture: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; – Ephesians 6:18 (KJV)

Prayer is the lifeline that connects our earthly battles to the heavenly authority of God. In the armor of God, prayer is the action that engages all other pieces, moving us from defensive protection to offensive victory. When we pray in the Spirit, we are not just voicing our needs; we are declaring the sovereignty of God over the specific opposition we face. It is an act of defiance against the enemy, proving that we trust the power of our Father more than our own strength.

Are you ‘watching’ with perseverance staying alert to the spiritual shifts around you? Do not face your challenges in isolation. Engage the weapon of prayer by bringing every struggle to the Lord with persistence and pleading for the saints around you. As you pray you align your spirit with His power ensuring that even in the face of intense opposition you are positioned for victory through the One who hears and answers.
