Monthly Growth Reflection
Discipleship S.T.E.P.S.: Rest & Reflect
Scripture: The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. – Psalm 19:1 (KJV)
As we pause to reflect on the past month, we are reminded that God is the Master Architect of all we see, and His work is perfect and complete. We often struggle to ‘cease’ from our labors because we doubt that God will continue His work while we rest. However, true spiritual growth requires us to recognize that while we are called to be faithful stewards, it is God who ultimately brings the increase and maintains the foundations of our lives.
Take this time to disconnect from the frantic pace of your to-do list and reconnect with the Creator who is still working on your behalf. Evaluating your month is not just about what you accomplished, but about how well you maintained your walk with the Lord throughout the chaos. True rest allows you to see the glory of God in the ordinary, preparing your heart for the season of growth ahead.
Prompt: How well did you "cease" from your work today?
Action Step: Rest is not just a break; it is an act of trust. By resting, we acknowledge that God is in control of the world. Take time today to enjoy your family and friends, reflecting on the progress you've made this week.
