Justification

Discipleship S.T.E.P.S.: Theology

Scripture: Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: – Romans 5:1 (KJV)

Justification is the legal and relational reality that we are declared righteous in God’s sight, not because of our own performance, but because of the finished work of Jesus Christ. This is the cornerstone of our peace; because the debt of our sin has been fully paid, there is no longer any barrier between us and the Father. When you truly grasp this, the ‘performance trap’—the constant pressure to earn God’s favor—collapses, replaced by the freedom of knowing you are already accepted.

Live today in the confidence of the justified. When you fail or fall you no longer have to run away in shame; you can run to the throne of grace knowing that your standing is secure in Christ. Let this truth soften your heart and stabilize your emotions. You are a child of God fully forgiven and forever loved; let that identity dictate your priorities your confidence, and your joy throughout the day.

Prompt: How does knowing you are completely forgiven and accepted by God change your daily outlook?

Action Step: Sound Theology teaches that we are declared righteous solely by grace through faith in Jesus.

Next Step: Thank God for the peace you have with Him because of Christ's sacrifice.
