Intro to Spiritual Gifts

Discipleship S.T.E.P.S.: Equip

Scripture: As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. – 1 Peter 4:10

Every believer is uniquely ‘SHAPED’—designed with specific gifts and passions to contribute to the body of Christ. Spiritual gifts are not given for our own personal benefit or prestige; they are tools for the service of the household of God. When we fail to use our gifts, we deny others the blessing God intended for them to receive through our lives. Being a ‘steward’ means acknowledging that your talents belong to the Giver and are meant to be invested into His Kingdom.

What is one thing you can do that seems to build others up or provide clarity and encouragement? Maybe it’s a gift of administration a heart for mercy or a passion for teaching. Stop comparing your gifts to others and start cultivating what He has placed in your hands. Today find one small way to use your strengths to serve someone else. As you give those gifts away you will find that God multiplies your effectiveness and deepens your own sense of purpose.

Prompt: What unique abilities or passions has God given you to help others?
