Scripture: Use hospitality one to another without grudging. – 1 Peter 4:9 (KJV)
Hospitality is far more than hosting a social event; it is a gospel-centered practice of opening our hearts, our homes, and our lives to others. When we offer hospitality ‘without grudging,’ we are mirroring the unconditional welcome we received from God through Jesus. It is a simple yet profound way to manifest the love of Christ, creating a space where people feel seen, valued, and invited into a community of grace.
The call to hospitality is a call to be a channel of Christ’s love to those around us whether they are believers in need of encouragement or those far from God. By making room in your schedule and your space for someone else you create an opportunity for authentic connection that the gospel can penetrate. Pray today for the Lord to show you someone who needs to experience the warmth of His love through your hospitality and be willing to open your doors to them.
Prompt: Who can you invite into your home or life this week to show them the love of Christ?
Action Step: Sharing our faith often begins around a table; hospitality is a powerful tool for the Gospel.
Next Step: Invite someone you do not know well over for a meal or out for coffee.
