Daily Devotions: Helmet of Salvation (Week 8, Wednesday)

The helmet of salvation is the vital protection for our minds, the place where we battle doubt, insecurity, and the accusations of the enemy. Without the firm assurance of our salvation, we are susceptible to the enemy’s whispers that we are not enough or that God’s love is conditional. Wearing the helmet means walking in the settled confidence that you have been bought with a price, justified by grace, and sealed by the Holy Spirit for eternity.

When you guard your mind with this assurance you are able to deflect the enemy’s attempts to manipulate your identity. Your salvation is not something you earned nor is it something you can lose; it is a gift that provides an impenetrable defense against any lie. Walk today with your head held high knowing that your identity is secure in Christ and that your mind is shielded by the promise of His eternal salvation.
