Developing a Growth Mindset
Discipleship S.T.E.P.S.: Equip
Scripture: But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. – 2 Peter 3:18 (KJV)
Christianity is not a stagnant status; it is a dynamic journey of transformation. Peter’s call to ‘grow in grace’ reminds us that we are never meant to settle into spiritual comfort zones. If you have stopped asking questions, stopped digging into Scripture, or stopped seeking to understand the heart of God, you are in danger of hardening. A growth mindset in the Kingdom means admitting that we still have much to learn and that our walk with Christ should be deeper today than it was yesterday.
What is one area of your faith where you have been coasting? Ask God to reignite your hunger for His Word and His ways. Whether it is reading a new book, starting a deeper Bible study, or serving in a new way, commit to moving forward. Growth is the evidence of life; keep pressing in because the knowledge of Christ is an infinite well that is worth exploring for a lifetime.
Prompt: Are you actively seeking to learn and grow, or have you become stagnant in your faith journey?
Action Step: The Equip module emphasizes that spiritual growth is an intentional, lifelong pursuit of knowing Christ better.
Next Step: Choose one new book or study resource to begin this week.
