Declaring the Gospel

Discipleship S.T.E.P.S.: Worship God

Scripture: Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people. – Psalm 96:3

Worship should never end at the doors of the church. If we are genuinely captivated by the glory and wonders of God, that praise will naturally spill over into our interactions with others. Declaring His glory is not just a task for the evangelist; it is the natural byproduct of a heart that has been moved by the Gospel. When we sing His praises on Sunday, we are practicing for the mission He has given us on Monday.

As you worship today ask yourself: ‘Is my heart so full of His wonder that I am eager to share it?’ If your worship feels stagnant focus on the wonders He has done. Remember that the salvation you sing about is the same salvation the world is desperate to find. Let your singing be a bold declaration of His grace and walk out of the sanctuary with a heart ready to declare His salvation to everyone you encounter.

Prompt: How does your worship today reflect a heart that is eager to declare God’s salvation to the world?

Action Step: Worship is both a private devotion and a public declaration of God’s majesty.
