Declaring God’s Promises
Discipleship S.T.E.P.S.: Worship God
Scripture: Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) – Hebrews 10:23 (KJV)
We are called to ‘hold fast’ our profession of faith, not because we are strong, but because He is faithful. The promises of God are the fuel for our endurance, but they are only effective if we actually speak them, believe them, and ground our hope in them. Worship is the perfect time to remind your own heart of these truths, declaring that God’s Word is more real than the difficulties you are facing.
What specific promise do you need to claim today? Is it peace for your anxiety? Provision for your lack? Strength for your weakness? As you enter the presence of God today, write that promise down or recite it clearly. Declare it in the midst of your church family, knowing that when you stand on His Word, you are standing on solid ground that will never move. He is faithful who promised, and He will do it.
Prompt: As you worship today, what specific promises of God do you need to declare over your life and circumstances?
Action Step: Corporate worship is a time to remember and boldly declare the unchanging promises of our faithful God.
