Daily Devotions: Corporate Confession (Week 27, Sunday)

Corporate confession is one of the most powerful and healing aspects of the gathered church. When we come together, we strip away the masks of self-righteousness and acknowledge that we are all, without exception, in desperate need of the blood of Jesus. Confessing our faults to one another is not about public humiliation; it is about humility, accountability, and the shared realization that we are all recipients of the same boundless grace.

As you step into worship today, let go of the desire to look ‘together’ or ‘holy’ in the eyes of others. Come with a heart that is raw and open before God and your brothers and sisters. If there is a barrier of hidden sin or pride in your heart, bring it into the light through confession. True healing and renewed fervor in prayer begin when we stop pretending and start admitting our total reliance on His mercy.
