Committing the Week to God

Discipleship S.T.E.P.S.: Worship God

Scripture: Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established. – Proverbs 16:3 (KJV)

Beginning the week with a posture of surrender is the most effective way to align your heart with the mind of God. When you commit your works and plans to Him, you release the burden of needing to control every outcome, allowing His peace to establish your thoughts and guide your steps. This act of trust invites His sovereignty into your schedule, ensuring that your priorities reflect His kingdom rather than just your own limited perspective.

As you enter this new week, invite the Lord into every meeting, conversation, and task. By seeking His approval before the week even begins, you clear the clutter of anxiety and make room for His divine wisdom to shape your path. Trust that as you commit your way to Him, He will faithfully direct your steps.

Prompt: Have you surrendered your upcoming schedule anxieties and plans to the Lord for this new week?

Action Step: Sunday is a holy day set apart to recenter our lives on Christ before the week begins. As you prepare for service pray over your calendar for the week inviting God's will to override your own plans and prepare your heart for corporate worship with the church body.
