Campus Ministry
Discipleship S.T.E.P.S.: Share
Scripture: Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest. – Luke 10:2
The campus is one of the most influential mission fields in the world, yet it remains one of the most difficult to reach. Students are in a season of transition, often searching for identity and purpose, making it a critical time to hear the Gospel. We are called to be ‘labourers’ in this harvest, which starts with the urgent prayer that God would send more people to invest in the lives of students. Whether through mentorship, financial support, or simply showing hospitality, we all have a role to play in ensuring that the light of Christ reaches the next generation.
How can you get involved? Could you support a local campus ministry, host a group of students in your home, or mentor a student looking for guidance? Don’t assume that ‘reaching students’ is someone else’s job. Ask God to show you a specific student or ministry you can partner with this week. Your support could be the very thing that provides a student with the hope they need to navigate the pressures of campus life.
Prompt: How can you actively support or participate in reaching students on high school or college campuses?
Action Step: Sharing the gospel on campuses is vital because students are making decisions that will shape the rest of their lives.
Next Step: Pray specifically today for the students and teachers at a local school or university near you.
