Breaking the Fear of Man

Discipleship S.T.E.P.S.: Share

Scripture: The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe. – Proverbs 29:25 (KJV)

The fear of man acts as a snare, trapping us in a state of hesitation that prioritizes human approval over divine obedience. When we are consumed by how others might perceive us, we shrink back from the very mission of sharing the grace that has saved us. God calls us to a higher standard of trust—believing that He is our ultimate protector and that our identity is secure in Him, regardless of how the world reacts.

Breaking the chains of this fear begins with shifting your focus from the audience of people to the audience of One. When your desire to honor God exceeds your fear of rejection, you become a bold witness. Pray today for the courage to speak up when God gives you an opening, trusting that the results of your obedience belong to Him, not to your reputation.

Prompt: Is the fear of what others think preventing you from sharing the gospel with them?

Action Step: To Share effectively we must care more about a person's eternal soul than their temporary opinion of us.

Next Step: Confess any fear of rejection to God today and ask for boldness to share your faith.
